CHOICES ESSAY- EXPOSITORY
Life has many ups and downs. Being able to make decisions for oneself, will be better than letting others decide. With the ability to decide, people can get anywhere they want.
For instance, there was one time where I had to choose the color of the walls in my room. My dad said that it should be blue because my brother was going to sleep in it too, but I wanted it to be rose-red. I told my dad that when my brother grows up, he will need to sleep in his own room. Therefore painting my room rose-red will be helpful later on, so that my dad wont have to repaint it. I made my own choice; I did what made me happier.
Also in the book The Giver, Jonas, the main character, escaped with Gabe, the baby, for their own good. Jonas did not want to be ruled over by the community and their pathetic rules. He also did not want Gabe to suffer through it. Jonas did not like the community ruling him. He did what he thought was best for him and Gabriel. He did what would keep the two of them happy and safe.
